Processing purposes

If using Google Analytics:
When you surf to our website, we store certain information from you in statistics (Google Analytics). This information includes the browser type, IP address, the operating system you use and the domain name of the website that you referred to our website. We use these statistics to analyze the surfing behavior of our visitors. Based on this, we can optimize our website for our users. The statistics are completely anonymous.
Personal data are processed for various purposes. However, we ensure that we only collect and process the data that is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

General Impex collects and processes the personal data of customers for customer and order management (including customer administration, follow-up of orders / deliveries, invoicing and sending marketing and personalized advertising).

Legal grounds for processing

If you fill in the contact form on our website, we will keep the personal details. We store your first name, last name, telephone number, e-mail address, message, IP address and time of sending reliably.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your e-mail address. We need this to be able to send you the newsletter. Your e-mail address is stored securely at Mailchimp. Mailchimp secures your data and is part of a certified EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and thus respect your privacy.

If you are a customer with us, we also store your contact and billing information. These data are necessary for the cooperation to run smoothly.

Transfer to third parties

Only General Impex uses your data. We therefore DO NOT share your data with third parties.

Storage period

Personal data may of course not be kept longer than necessary for the purposes for which they are processed. In that respect, the storage period can also vary, depending on the purpose.

What are your rights?

1.Right on access and rectification, changes or deletion of data

The customer has the right to inspect all personal data that we collect from them. Any incorrect or incomplete data can be changed or removed.

2.Right to be forgotten

A visitor / customer always has the right to have his data removed from our databases.

3.Right to file complaint

If the customer is of the opinion that we have processed his data unlawfully, the customer has the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission http://www.privacycommission.be/nl
